I was recently a guest of the above hotel and was visiting with 3 of my friends ; we had two rooms. I wanted to compliment and commend the staff and I mean ALL of the staff on making it my best stay at a hotel EVER. I travel frequently both for business and pleasure in Canada, the US and abroad and the staff at this hotel were the most accommodating , friendly and welcoming that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We were in Edmonton during the coldest weather there has been all year (Edmonton was even the 2nd coldest place on earth that weekend ) and still they were amazing . No matter what time we encountered staff or where we met them, they all treated us with respect, asked if we required assistance and went out of their way to help us and meet our needs. This included everyone from the front desk, to the cleaning staff , to the people re-setting the tables when we were leaving for the airport; it was truly the most amazing display of customer service I have seen; and I work in an industry that has customer service professionals ; some whom report to me . I had to come back and share with my employees the amazing customer service and attention to detail that we received. I have never written to a hotel to either complain or compliment but I felt that I had to write to you to ensure this hotel and its' staff recieve the recognition they deserve. Thank you; and you know when I next go back to Edmonton and require a hotel, I will be booking at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown!!
I will be back every week for 5 months... Excellent & Friendly Staff WD I chose the HIEx for the price. We don't usually stay downtown and it was a quick trip so "a hotel is a hotel" right? I am really impressed with everything at the hotel. the room was spotless. Parking was convenient, Breakfast was filling and the staff was so friendly. I will definitely be back - and recommend the hotel to others ***** Kent, I stayed with you team March 12th. I suffer from a medical condition that requires that I carry a treatment device with me. I unfortunately left that device in my room on check out on the 13th. I discovered this when I arrived home on Friday night and immediately called the hotel and left a message with housekeeping that explained the problem and the urgency of returning the device to me. I had a call from Ryan first thing on Saturday morning who said he was going to check lost and found. A short time later I had another call from Ryan confirming that he had located the device and would have it sent to me by Fed Ex The device arrived this morning. (March 13th) Kent I would like to offer my appreciation to your team but and especially to Ryan for his support here. In my line of work, I stay in many Hotels and have never experienced such welcomed and serviced staff as the Edmonton Holiday Inn Downtown has given me. How ever, I am sadly to say, I will be moving on in accepting a relocation to Halifax Nova Scotia, with the same company.
